Jakarta, November 2016 – As part of the spirit of innovation inherent in the PT. Kino Indonesia Tbk, Kino Youth Innovator Award 2016 was held. Kino Youth Innovator Award is an appreciation given to the younger generation on the idea of innovation created through a competition. In this competition, the younger generation, especially students are invited to create a creative innovation.
The series of Kino Youth Innovator Award 2016, which began since last May has finally been held over. After going through several process stages of rigorous assessment by looking at a variety of criteria, such as: originality and novelty of ideas, the benefits of the idea of innovation created (effectiveness and problem solving) and also whether the idea can be realized and the potential future (feasibility and sustainability), 10 finalists selected and proceed to the final stage to present the results of innovation that has been created. Kino Youth Innovator Award 2016 with the theme “Build Up a Glocal Innovation” includes the food, beverage, personal care, and household where innovation created must use local natural resources of Indonesia and take advantage of technology to be able to produce a product that can be useful for people to better days ahead.
The process of judging on the final stage is performed in Ballroom Fave Hotel, Bogor, was attended by some of the judges who are competent, including Mr. Budi Susanto as Head of Innovation PT Kino Indonesia Tbk, Mr. Mamat Rahmat as Senior Manager of Innovation PT Kino Indonesia Tbk, Mr. Setiawan Wijaya as Manager of Research & Development PT. Kino Indonesia Tbk, and Mr Mulyana Ahmad as Sience Expert.
After the assessment and discussion of the jury, here are the winners:
• 1st winner – Andreas Petra Wibiantoro, Rut Asih Setiawati, Viony Gracelia Kuntadi from Kristen Satya Wacana University, Salatiga, Central Java
• 2nd winner – Yeyen Laorenza, Nopa Aris Iskandar, Fitri Sofiah from Institut Pertanian Bogor, Jawa Barat
• 3rd winner – Astuti Handayani, Anggi Kusuma W from Katolik Widya Mandala University, Surabaya, East Java
• 1st runner up – Rhezaldian Eka Dharmawan, Surya Diki Andrianto from Brawijaya University, Malang, East Java
• 2nd runner up – Erwin Chandra Christiawan from Airlangga University, Surabaya, East Java

Hopefully by the holding Kino Youth Innovator Award in the future be able to encourage young people to create and innovate to create something useful for the people of Indonesia in the present and future “, said Mr. Budi Susanto as Head of Innovation PT Kino Indonesia Tbk.
Innovations in Indonesia is in the hands of the younger generation. Therefore, when we care, innovation is not just a hope and ideas, but the Indonesian local innovation can be realized and not inferior to innovation from outside.
