Jakarta, 2nd October 2017 – Transition Season (Pancaroba Season) is the transition of two main seasons in tropical countries, which is the transition between the rainy and dry seasons. Transition season occurs twice during a year, the transition from the rainy season to the dry season usually occurs in March and April, and the transition from the dry season to the rainy season, occurs in September and October.
During the transition season, generally there is an increase in hospital visits, with patients complaining about a cold cough and a slight fever. These symptoms, as explained by specialists in internal medicine, Dr. Laurentius Aswin Pramono, SpPD, M.Epid, from the Carolus Hospital in Jakarta, is called seasonal influenza. The most common symptoms of seasonal influenza are cough, runny nose, and burning sensation in the body although sometimes it is not accompanied by body temperature increases. The throat also feels dry and painful to swallow. “This is what the public called Panas Dalam,” said Dr. Aswin in the discussion program titled ‘Preventing Panas Dalam in Transmission Season’ which was held by Larutan Cap Kaki Tiga on Monday, October 2nd, 2017 in Jakarta.
Those who have low endurance are more Susceptible to experience it, including children, the elderly and sufferers of chronic diseases such as diabetes, post-surgery patients, or who have poor diet and rarely exercise.
Collection of symptoms of Panas Dalam, in medical terms called syndrome, can occur due to extreme weather changes, causing decreased body endurance. There are factors that play a role in causing symptoms of Panas Dalam, which is external factors such as viruses and the environment, as well as internal factors such as body endurance.
Weather Changes also transform the air pressure, temperature and air composition, causing the growth of germs and viruses in the environment. For people with allergies, pollen and dust increased in the air can trigger allergic symptoms that aggravate the flu and Panas Dalam.
Panas Dalam can recover without treatment, with the help of adequate fluid intake. “Because fluids are very important to restore body temperature back to normal. Good hydration will smoothen the mechanism and metabolism in the body, including increasing body immunity,
To prevent the symptoms of Panas Dalam, it is important to take precautions especially during the transition period. Prevention can be done by preparing yourself for extreme weather changes, such as wearing thicker clothes when it rains, do not leave the house often when the weather is unfriendly, eating and drinking more frequently, and drinking lots of drinks that contain lots of minerals. In addition, one of important prevention is by exercising and taking influenza vaccination.

Indeed, plain water also already contains minerals, but it would be better if added with additional minerals sourced from natural plants, such as minerals in Larutan Cap Kaki Tiga, “explained Aswin.
